ARTIST BIO

“Since I first picked up a pencil when I was a kid, art and the creative process have been intertwined as apart of my life, therefore, to me, they are one and the same. I can’t quite put myself in a box, which I think is a good thing. I didn’t even consider myself an “Artist” in my early 20’s because the connotations of being such bothered me. Maybe I just don’t agree with labels. 

This has led me to live a life quite free of barriers and labels. I haven’t been able to limit myself to only one method of creating and whilst I haven’t figured out if this is entirely a good thing, (as it makes finishing projects a bit of a problem) I do love the fact that I never get bored. I have an outlet that suits my moods, whether it’s precision drawing, making a mess with paint or figuring out how to build random things in my studio. There’s my personal work that I rarely show anybody, and my commission based work which allows me the human connection all artist’s crave and need.

Whether it’s airbrushing skulls or flames on custom motorcycles, recreating stylised airbrushed portraits for clients, painting wall murals while travelling the world, painting  props for show and entertainment companies, spending thousands of hours drawing  strange surreal worlds, the priority in my life has and always will be pursuing art and the randomness that goes with the lifestyle. And a little bit of surfing and skateboarding when I get around to it. 

“It’s through my art that I can express my conception of the world and interact with the people in it from all walks of life, from all corners of the globe. This is what inspires me to create imagery that tells a story thatʼs often bizarre or ominous but deep down hopeful and optimistic, a reflection of how I experience the world. In reality, my art is just an extension of my thoughts and feelings, moulding logic and fantasy into my own visual world for people to escape to”
