ARTIST NOTES: This is a picture painted of my Nan just a couple of weeks after she had a stoke. I remember watching as she slowly started to disappear behind a veil. She still has her sense of humour and good nature but can't grasp hold of details and looks at you as if from a long distance. I wanted to capture a sense of her good soul, but also the fear and isolation of disappearing into that void.
